I bought a set of American Customs pipes for my 06 softail classic, and put them on, and they sound great, the only thing I notice is when I get up around 55 to 60 miles an hour and let off the throttle it makes a popping sound and never did before, the company said that all I needed was to put them on and will need no retuning at all, I do not no much about motorcycles but I no it is not sounding right, what should I do to correct it.fITZY.:)

I not sure what pipes thay are. Are thay 2 to 1 or dueally's? Decel popin dont't always mean air leaks. Are yaa runnen baffles?

Decel popping can also be because of lean fuel mixture. If it's carbureted, back out the idle mixture screw a tad. Air leak is probably the most likely culprit though.

your problem is loose clamps, if the bike didnt pop before the pipes were installed. use harley clamps and be sure to torque them to specs......pop will be gone.......
