Looking out the back door and it's pouring down the snow. Hopefully won't do a whole lot. Was able to go to Men's Prayer Breakfast at church this morning and that was good. Reckon we'll get in the 4WD cager in a bit and go up to the dealership. My wife volunteered to donate bloood there today. I used to doant blood but had to stop after I had Encephalitis, Meningitis and a Brain Hemorrhage. They said if things got bad enough to need my donation, they'd give a call. Oh well got three days of riding in this week so that's probably pretty good. Guess I should just be thankful for those days. Have a GREAT day and be safe out there.:)

It was 27*F on the way to dealership yesterday but sunny, it's been so cold here lately the detroit river is frozen over! It's a big river to freeze over and never happens before January if at all!

Going up to the dealership in a bit to the HOG chapter meeting. Wife's going early for the LOH and to help set up the Angel Tree party that we're having after the HOG meeting. I planning on riding up cause later on this evening and tonight it's uspposed to, yup, turn off cold, snow and stay like that through next Tuesday or Wednesday. so I want to get at least one more rid ein. I got to ride to work yesterday and that was nice. Pretty overcast right now but that's supposed to clear out.................

Never been to an area that gets so cold as to freeze a river over. Our ponds will freeze here but that's about all. But then for all you folks that live up around the Great Lakes. It has to be some sort of cold to freeze those rascals over - even enough to drive tractor trailer trucks over. Now that's some serious cold....

Living in cold like that to me would be like living on the far side of the moon.

It's a way of life up here, we got the mountains and some great skiing. Up in the northwest territories getting across the lakes in the winter is the easiest way to haul goods in. When the ponds/rivers froze up we grabbed the stick and skates and played hockey on the freeze all day..at least my generation..most of us learned to skate before we learned to walk. What would throw us for a loop is not seeing snow at Christmas. some folks race bikes on the frozen lakes..that's something to experience..gives a whole new meaning to "if you ain't sliding you ain't riding" My biggest beef with the winter is the road salt they use up here..just tears the crap out of cars
