Hey, First time posting here. Been a little busy with my project. Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a 1:1 speedo to a 2:1 speedo? I scored a shovelhead Police Special speedo and want to run it on my 83 FXSB, but the 83 is a 2:1 front wheel driven speedo and I know the Police Special is a 1:1 trans drive. I've taken speedos apart before, but didn't know if there was a certain gear I could swap from one to the other the change the ratio? I know you can't swap the faces as the screw hole that secure it to the frame are in different location.

look for a speedo recal shop in your area. they are all over as they have to recalibrate truck, police, fire, ect. try google or local phone book. they will probably sell you an adaptor, that is what i did to a couple of street rods i built........worked great.
