My speedometer and cruise control quite working. 2002 Ultra Classic, checked fuses and all seem good. Not sure what else to check.

speedo sensor, its on the top left of the trans one allen bolt, remove, clean and if that doesn't do it, get a new one.

Turn signals work but won't cancel,
Speedo lights but doesnt read speed and odometer won't move?
    Cruise won't engage.

    Sensor..

Sounds excatly like the problem I have. Didn't notice the turn signals to start with but when I went to turn couldn't figure out why they were still on. No I traveled over 60 miles no change in milage. Will try this in the morning.

    Thanks,

to add to what hrk said...you will find metal shavings and dirt.....normal......just wipe them off and reinstall......piece of cake.......
just didnt want you to panic when ya pull it and find some metal attached to the magnet........

right, and don't wipe it with your finger, those are METAL shavings,

Clean up, put back in, wait a few seconds, pull out again it will probably have
    more.

It has an o ring to keep it from leaking, so one way to get it out
Remove allen, rotate sensor, put small flat screwdriver under tab
lift gently, pry it up, and it will pop out.

If after cleaning the same problem exists you will need a new sensor.

Funny I have to go get one for the Softail...

It was dirty, but that didn't work so now off to buy new one. Never seen so much junk on a plug before.

    Thanks,
