I have a 94 Sporty 1200...I have a 98 chrome gearcase cover I want to use..can I carefully remove my old cover and swap it out without messing with the cams and such?..do I have to worry about endplay and such?..the busings in it now only have a few miles on them..they look almost new..I just want to pop mone off and pop on the new one..any advice would be appreciated..thanks

Everything needs to be checked as well as removing push rods to get spring pressure off lifters and cams. Dutch
