I just saw a picture of the 110th ann. Sportster Custom with mag wheels...... beautiful bike. Kind a surprised me, and all the 110th models are gorgeous.

I know, I know....I was the one saying new line-up looked like crap, but I hadn't seen these yet. Colors are beautiful and the tank badge is a knock-out!

Yup, I was admiring one yesterday at the dealership in Rocky Mount. Stopped in for an Evo shorty oil filter - getting ready to change my oil. There were a LOT of bikes in the showroom, but they say they're selling well.

Pulled in next to 4 older black guys hanging around their full dressers. They are touring the country. We had a nice conversation. They rode shovelheads in the "old days" and really dug my scooter.

I think that 110 anniversary two tone brown is not a great color. Don't like it, to me it's not a annivarsary type color, just me. Think they could have done better with the paint.

Josh, that's cool, we don't get a lot of black riders here. There are a few but not to many. Had one in our chapter for a while, nice guy to and his bike was wild and bright the way it was painted.

I've looked at some of the new bikes this year. WAsn't impressed by the color on them. And the new Big metal flake didn't do anything for me either.
Most of the folks I know has been lookin at 12 models.
I think 10 and 11 had the best colors .
But what do I know. I bought black again.

I think the 2012 models were the better year between 2011-2012-2013. Why? All the big twins except 2 dyna models came with the 103 " motor in 2012. You had to buy the Limited in 2011 to get it. And in 2013 there is nothing special with the Limited from 2012 or 2013.

On the road this past week I saw many uniquely colored new HD's...wondering if they were painted after the purchase or can you order different color combinations when you are purchasing a new bike?

And black is stil the fastest color.

You can get many optional colors and paint schemes if you order from the Color Shop, but they are expensive. You're exchanging your gas tank, fenders, etc. for new limited edition paint jobs that you won't see again.

110th Anniversary paint and badges are fabulous! They are classy and tastefully subtle colors. But if you like bright yellow and oranges, you'll be disapointed. I don't like gaudy colors on my vehicles.

Sorry Cowboy, I don't know how to include links here. Check H-D 110th Anniversary Models.

:roflmao:Only bike's I don't see women ride are the full blown Geezer Glides...:D

I think that the early to mid 90's is when the BS started about Sporty's being little girls bikes, might have been earlier but I have CRS...that's when all the RUB's($20,000 and 20 mile bikers) started buying HD's as a status symbol and needed something to look down on,because in the 60's and 70's there were a lot of Sporty's on the road, stretched and raked and customized and I don't remember them being called "lil girls bikes";)
