Most dealers ship priority mail tracked or UPS, they have FFL license and will ship to your FFL (Fed Firearms License) dealer, then your local dealer fills out the paperwork in your
state and may charge you a couple of bucks.

If you have a local dealer, go to them first tell them you found it on Buds, $489 free shipping would they do the FFL paperwork and how much. They might beat or meet the price.

XD is a nice handgun. If you are going Self defense or home defense then the 45 is a good choice, however if you are looking for a nice gun to hammer some brass down range a lot, go 9mm, the ammo is WAAAAAAY less expensive for 9mm, wal mart Federal 115 gr 9mm is $19 per 100, same ammo in 40 is $19 per 50...

At one time XD had a deal where you buy the gun with what you see pictured
and turn in the warranty card and get three more mags free, 5 mag deal total,
pretty good if you go to the range.

Go to a gun shop and fondle the gun, see if it fits your grip and wrist angle
I like Sig Sauer, don't care for Blocks (glocks) buddy doesn't like my Sig
grip angle on the P250. It's all about fit and feel.

BTW if you want great deal on a good DAO handgun then check out the Sig Sauer
specials on buds gun shop, P250 is under $369, if you don't like DAO and prefer a DA/SA then the SigPro 40 or 9mm on the same page is a great buy at $394.

However best deal is the P250 Sig 2sum where you get a FS and compact frame and rail for the P250 and one FCU (fire control unit) that you move from setup to setup so you get two guns under $600 a full size and compact carry.
