Don't know why they didn't offer it in a 45
The grip has always been different on the Xd
Its a very good pistol and accurate.

They might come out with it in a 45 later on after the release.

This is a 15 yr anniversary of the XD too.

Got a neighbor that is a Cow rancher & he teach's school.
Told him several years about the XDs 3.8 compact I got at a gun show up here in the country . He went and they had sold out. He got the XD subcompact and shot it. He was impressed at how accurate for the gun it was.
It has become his favorite pistol.

You want a good pistol CB get a Sig as its one of the best pistols made. The standard XD or the subcompact are to boxy. No have not held the new one as nobody has em out yet. But had the XD subcompact in 40 and did not like it. Traded it off.

Buddy down the street bought a sig, all I could hear is this is the #1 selling pistol.
He ranted and raved about it.
Took it out shooting it. And now it sits in the drawer. His whole attitude toward sig has changed.
He OL won't even carry it.
She has a Bersa Thunder 9mm.
He has a XDm 3.8 compact 9mm. And a XDs 3.3 45 that he totes all the time.

S&W are pretty good :) I like my S&W Shield better than I did my XDS 9mm by a long ways. But I love my Sig P229

I knew that would get to yea :D
I got three Smiths, great guns. Don't like the Springfield XD subcompact. Had one, to fat for a short pistol.
I really love my S&W 6 inch 686 what a beauty. Try to find one, very scarce.
