    Does anyone out there know anything about Sputhe trannys? Are they any good??
    What's a fair price for a H-D 4 speed with kicker for my 1983 FXE?
    I saw a nice one for $950. Is that too much??

    I'm paying $1300 for a completely rebuilt '70s 4-speed ratchet kicker. $500 was for the rebuild. I think you're in the right ballpark price wise for one of those.

    The Sputhe I have seems too delicate for me.
    I like the rugged H-D trannys that have to be kicked into gear.
    The Sputhe 5-speed does not have a kicker available. I don't get that at all.

    just watch hard shifts into second gear on the 4 spds they like to bend the shift fork don't ask how do you know LMAO had to replace a few :rolleyes:
