    Hi
I have had some METZELER TIRES with white walls fitted to my Springer and I have noticed that they tend to squeal a lot specially on corners.Checked tire pressure and thats ok,they have only done 1500 kms(1000 miles).
    Any ideas on this.

Are you sure it's the tires I have only heard one MC tire squeal & that was about 30-40 years ago & the tire & road where real hot about 100 degree's out side so road & tire were hotter
Have you double checked your brake's to see if that might be the noise

could be the tire rubbing on somethin when ya put a sideways load on it. check fender, drive belt, belt guard, etc. i put a 150-16 avon on my wide glide and spent a lot of time gettin it dead-ass straight so everything fit right. good luck.

Definitely check for rubbing & wheels being properly centered as Metzelers tend to run wider than Dunlops, even with the same size designation. For example, the 140's I run on the rear of my Sportsters are actually 146mm wide & I had to change axle spacers to get the wheels centered right.

Nope def no rubbing its just when banking on either of the sides when going round roundabouts, sound is as if tires where under inflated same sound you get when slow parking of car in garage, pressure check always in cold.
The squeal does not go even after a long ride.

    thought starters

Are you able to discern if the noise is coming from just the front or rear or both? Are there any signs of cupping, scalloping or any unusual wear patterns? My thoughts: alignment of one tire, is this tire actually made for this weight bike, are they directional and installed properly including front on front and rear on rear, too soft a compound for the weight, could the squeal be coincedentally coming from somewhere else..brake caliper, drive belt, etc, look at all parts loosened or removed to install tires?
Just some food for thought, Good luck
