Hi guys. I'm new here. I've been reading and learning here since I got my first Harley around Thanksgiving. I got a 97 883 sportster with a lot of mods including strait shots and some name of air filter. It coughed a little at 60 degreeze, more at 50, and almost non stop at 35. I just put the kit in and rode at 40 degreeze today, and not one single cough. Someone had rejetted too big, but that didn't get rid of the problem. I would say to anyone with the coughing problem; don't waste your time just rejetting. Get the kit and do it. you won't be sorry. It may not solve any other problems, but if you're troubleshooting, with this easy and very affordable carb fix, at least you'll know this is out of the way.
Thanks for all the help. David.
