Are there any real differences between the stock needle and emulsion tube compared to the kit needle an tube? I compared the parts side by side and did not see any visible difference.

Also, I forgot which was my original spring and kit spring. One is longer than the other, which is which?

    Thanks,
    Alex

While they may look the same they are significantly different. The needle has a different taper profile that changes how fuel is metered through the transitions from idle > midrange > full throttle. The emulsion tube has a slightly different internal dimension coupled with a change in design of the bleed holes. Both contribute to improvements in performance.

The new spring is slightly shorter than your original spring and has a different tension.

So how can I tell the needle and tube apart?
