I think sturgis would be more fun when it wasn't bike week. I been to daytona non bike week it was great. No lines at the bars, nothing crowded.

Yea four of us went a week early to Sturgis 2 years ago. There were not the big crowds and riding the roads was much easier. Unfortunately two of the guys just wanted to spend their time time drinking all day and not doing much else. Won't go back with them again. Was able to pick about any T-Shirt I wanted back then. Got a couple of friends there this year hope they are having a good time.
The riding around Sturgis is really great when not crowded. Looking to go back again.

Think the lines to get even a beer are gonna be long.

I won't ever go to Sturgis. Too crowded for me. Same goes for all the other major bike events where there are thousands upon thousands of people vying for parking and long lines for everything else. I get impatient in grocery store lines.

    Enjoy your trip to Sturgis.

Its 1500 miles to my House to Sturgis.
Farther than I want to ride. Too many people in one place.
I will stick to the little LoneStar Rally in Galveston. Its 125 miles south of my house.
Got a place to stay with SIL. Like meeting her down at the Strand.
And I know how to get around down there.
Its big enough for me. Usually 500,000 people. And good seafood.
And plenty of bars & resturants not to mention The Strand.
And I leave out very early in the morning to get off the Island.

I've been to Sturgis, but after the rally. It is only 8 or 9 hours from me, but I haven't done the actual Rally. Keep sayin maybe next year. Next year might be a quiet one since so many made it this year. We'll see. Not a fan of large crouds tho.
