That looks like a fun day with a good bunch of guys.

It's been a very cold Winter here this year with no riding for me since January 1st. But every once in a while the thermometer gets above 30 degrees, and the bikes really come out. People are desperate to ride, but we have at least 8 more weeks of cold.

Never understood why they call it an island when it's attached to the mainland. Same with Cape Cod. Is this an East Coast thing?

Surrounded by water constitutes and island! Long Island is connected by a couple of bridges to another island, Manhattan Island! Manhattan is connected to the mainland by George Washington Bridge and the Lincoln and Holland tunnels. Long Island is also connected to another island, Staten Island by the Verrazano Bridge. Staten Island connected to the mainland by 2 bridges,Goethals and Outerbridge Bridges! Cape Cod is connected by 2 bridges to the mainland. In all instances, water all around! :banghead:

Didn`t get a ride in Sunday, but spent time with my "Brothers of the highway", at our D-13 ABATE of GA monthly meeting in Ashburn, and took care of business...
Got together with another brother yesterday and tracked down some loose disconnections in the taillight assmembly so we can head to Bike week...
Move south, you can ride year`round,
    Dennis

Sorry Fatboy, I forgot about the East River separating Long Island. Cape Cod was not originally an island. It became an island after they dug the Cape Cod canal.

I had the opportunity (misfortune) of living in Boston for a couple years. I agree: worst drivers (in North America) I've ever seen.

Well, I guess you've never been to North Carolina . . . now THESE folks are the worst drivers in North America! Ha-ha! I noticed some of the riders going thru the red light. What's that about?

Josh, come on man, you know that North Carolinians are mostly from NY! Nyers don't stop for traffic lights! That is why we now have cameras at intersections.
