I recently bought a Softail with Super Trapp dual staggered exhaust on it. I know Super Trapp have removable baffles. I took the pipes apart today to see what was inside. There were 18 baffles in each pipe. I see the ad on this site for those pipes says you can expand up to 24 baffles. I have a few questions:
1: Will adding 6 more baffles increase the low end torque.

    2. Is it bad to take out some baffles trying to get noise (I went down to 6 and didn't really see a change in anything except the oil temp seemed lower)

3.Does anyone have any other info on these pipes for me.

    Thanks,
    Bart

These are called diffuser discs. The more the discs, the lower the back pressure and the power moves up the RPM range. Of course, the more discs the louder it gets. Fewer discs increases bottom end torque and is quieter.
