Tachometer

    my tach stopped working when my bike is running it'll show 25 to 30 but won't move when running down the road. Any opinions?

    Have you checked out the basics, like connections, fuses and cables? As I'm not a Sportster guy, I don't know what kind of tach you have (mechanical or electric - though I suspect electric). Regardless, on any Harley the first thing to look for is things working themselves loose and needing tightening or cleaning/reconnecting.

    do you have a factory service manual? if so, check where the tach plugs in.....

    No factory service manual. Can I get one from the dealer?

    yes it is available from the dealer, and you will find that it will be the best tool in your tool box. if available, the parts manual is a very handy tool also. it shows how the parts go together in exploded views......very helpful!! welcome to the place!!
