I want to thank you guys for all the help, especially cowboy, for the manifold, and Don,(HarleysLR) for the SE1 air cleaner kit for helping me with the upgrade to my 1988 FLHTC. I finished it up yesterday and the bike has NEVER run better!! So much better than with the old stock Keihin butterfly carb. No more spittin and coughing through the carb with this one. I can't believe that I've had this bike for over 10 years and all it took to fix it was a carburetor upgrade!! I have never ridden this bike a whole lot though, preferring to ride my 1960 DuoGlide or my 1982 Superglide, they are more slimmed down machines and more fun to ride, IMHO. I plan to spend ALOT more time on this girl now though!!! :rocket_bike:
I also put a new JVC CD/USB receiver on the bike and the audio system is SO much better too! I bought it at Crutchfield, Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, LCD TV, Digital Cameras . Turns out for $69.99 a company called PAC has a steering wheel interface,(box), that allows you to control certain aftermarket stereos with Harley-Davidson handlebar controls!!! PAC SWI-JACK Steering wheel control interface for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, and Kenwood at Crutchfield.com I can now use my handlebar controls just like I did with the factory HD cassette/AM/FM receiver!!
I also installed this,(not for the electronically challenged though), but if you are proficient at using a volt-ohmeter you can install one too. I highly recommend this thing!! The receiver I bought has 2 USB ports on it, and it will play MP3 files that you copy to any USB flash drive. I have a 16G flash drive and so far I have copied 100 of my CDs to it,(in MP3 format), and it's only 1/3 filled up!! My LPs are next! I have a large LP collection and I'm going to record them to my hard drive and make MP3s out of them and transfer them to the flash drive! It's incredible what's available in the audio market these days, no more recording LPs to cassette, having to play each LP while you record it,(analog), anymore!!
Well, that's just about it, I just wanted to thank you guys for all the help!!! I've got a HUGE smile on my face now and my Harley and I thank you!!!! :D

Glad I could be od some kind of help, after everything you guys have done for me. With this Swi-Jack thing and being able to use and aftermarket radio on your scoot, you can get a much better receiver, with more features for less money than the HD factory ones. The USB flash drive thing with MP3s is really cool too.

You bet I will!! The air cleaner worked well, except I wasn't able to use the crankcase-head breather kit. The banjo bolts wouldn't fit my heads,(they're too big). I followed the directions you sent and just ran the breather hose into the back of the air cleaner backing plate, so it's pretty much "breathing" the same way as it was with the butterfly setup. I got some spacers from Tractor Supply, a couple of washers and 5/16" bolts and bolted it up to the heads with the brackets in the kit. It worked well. You wouldn't know it didn't come from the factory like that to look at it. It was kinda tricky getting the manifold on there correctly though. I tried to do it without removing the gas tank and finally realized it'd be a lot easier and less time consuming if I just took it off. I was right, much easier. In fact I also had to remove the fairing because I had to replace the throttle cables too, the inner cable was too short on one of them for the CV carb and just wouldn't work. All said and done I've got a little over $200. into it, I'm happy and like it much better than my money:D
    Take care,
