Received my new HOG patch today and what a disappointment. All the ones in the past have been really nice and made well. The new one looks like it was stamped out of velvet with a lame design. I would be more then happy to pay extra for a quality patch. This I don't think will hold up in the wash and can't say I would like to display it with the others. I hope this is not a sign of thinks to come.

I'm not crazy about it either, but I don't think it's a quality issue. I think it's just a crappy design. There are a lot of machine embroidery designs being created that have that similar very fine stitching instead of the satin stitch that's typically used.

Because it's just the design and not a quality flaw, I wouldn't worry about it holding up in the wash.

My thought exactly Tiny. The more dirty the better it looks.

Mine are all in a box somewhere. If I put all my stuff on a vest it would look like I just started riding and bought all the patches at once.:roflmao:

Some really like to load their vests up with tons of pins, not me I have a small hand full that mean something important and that's about it and same for patches. Got just a very few and like Abby all the rest are in boxes.

OK so I have washed my vest once or twice. I would like to see next years patch dedicated to Buell. Sorry to see them go.

I wash my vest ever time I get caught out in the rain.

I wondered how it gets so stiff from time to time with that washed outlook. Forgot about all the rain. :p:D

I have a new leather jacket I love. It's a Harley jacket too. It looks very new, at least next to my old chaps and gloves. I didn't realize how old those items were until wearing them with my new jacket.
