The Perfect Companion

    to a well grilled steak is Mushrooms and Onions.

    2-large white Onions (or favorite onion)
    1lb Button Mushrooms
    Beef Boulion
    Salt
    Pepper (both to taste)
    1 Stick of real butter

    Take the two onions and slice to desired size. then take the button mushrooms and slice vertically using stems and all. After you have sliced both onions and mushrooms, place them on aluminum foil. Unwrap the stick of butter and place on top of the onions and mushrooms. Next take the beef bulion (granules) and sprinkle generously over the onions, mushrooms and butter. Salt and pepper to taste.

    Wrap foil around the mixture tightly so that no butter can leak out. You may need to use more foil to accomplish this. Once you have made the bag, put on the grill about 35 min. before the steak. (This depends on size of steak of course). If the steak is small, put on the grill about an hour before you want to eat as you can burn if left on too long. Or, cook until vegtables are desired doneness. YUMMY!!

    How many it serves? Depends on how hungry they are! :D

    Next time try this

    Same onion and shrooms

    Heat cast iron skillet
    put Red wine vinegar in
    shroom and mush mix
    lightly season with WHITE pepper

    cook to your liking...

    got to dissagree with ya...............i will grill portabello mushrooms, with a sprinkling of fajita seasoning and ya have a hard time telling them from beef!!!!! wonderful.......

    Probably just as bad for yea as eating beef to. I don't let the wife cook them in the house, gawd they stink really bad. She gets a side order of em in a restaurant and dumps em all over her salad. :puke:

    Talk about ruining a good pizza. Here is a tip, "don't order pizza that has mushrooms on it, then you won't have to pick them off"! :banghead:

    Dude please, you go out with a group and they order a combination pizza, guess what yep they add fungus on em. See to much fungus growing in crawl spaces, :gah:
