Pretty much the whole route from Washington to California is a beautiful ride with some fantastic views. If you ever ride it plan on spending a lot of time, you just might want to stay.

We may get a week of snow but that's about it and the Coast gets none or a slight dusting that melts off by noon. Pretty cool though to see snow on the beach, only seen it once.
Far Eastern and parts of the high desert get more snow but the western part well you might get more than we do.

also lots of fog and wet roads.

Looks like June - Sept are the low Precipitation months under an inch

Temps drop a bit so dress warm

Coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco...

July August or September is your best bet for riding dry. Even June can be nice but we have a saying here in Oregon, Summer starts July 5th.

The ride from Astoria to Eureka, Ca. is 448 miles of pure joy. You could easily spend a week or more just doing that.

The distance from Eureka to San Francisco is about 275.00 miles.

Lots of beautiful coast line and Red Woods to ride along or through. Coast temperatures are generally in the 60's to 70's those times of year. Can get hotter in Ca.

If you like beer and especially micro brewed then there are lots of places to stop like Newport.
Also lots of wild life like whale watching, sea Lions, lots of light houses and lots of fresh crab and fish.

Here is a pic from Sundays ride. We rode up to Mt Saint Helen's at a observatory area. Your looking at the west side of the blast zone. Amazing how all these trees have grown back.
