I just bought a 82 xj 650 last month and went to town on changes. I want to make it look like a bobber. I started with a pan and hinge from good ol e-bay for 40.00 bucks. I welded the pivot pointand nuts to hold the hairpin springs. I tool the seat with the old pirate skull stuff. Here is where I am now.

Why not just put a tractor seat on it.
Bober seats just don't ride good very far.

@Cardboard,I have to disagree with the comfort level. I left the rear springs on it and added springs to the seat. That should raise the comfort level. Being a 45 year old fat guy, I need all I can get. Plus I can't compare that recliner you sit on to a piece of steel with a yoga mat. LOL :roflmao:Thanks!!!
