Just put the cables back on the carb the way they came off then follow the steps outlined here for adjusting it and you'll be fine. Be sure to put some lube down the cables. :)

    Hey there,

I always adjust my idle properly first. Then find the 'pull cable' (the one that turns the throttle wheel open) and adjust it so that you are getting full wide open throttle on the wheel first. You want to make sure that you are getting full throttle opening. Then I adjust the "return cable" next so that when you let the throttle grip off from full throttle, it snaps right back.

When you adjust the return cable, this is where you will also be adjusting the free play on the grip. I like mine to have very little slack. Just enough so it just jiggles a little bit.
All this is done with you fairing off.
    Next check your idle again...

Also pictorial step by step method.

I just git on the scooter, start er up, put it in gear and whack open the throttle. If it don't go fast enuff, I tighten the go faster cable more an more until I reach da speed I'm a lookin for. :rocket_bike::roflmao:
