Does anybody use a thumb lever on their throttle lock. It's kinda like a cruise control except you have to turn off Manually?

I put the Break A Way on the wifes Valk trike and it to worked excellent plus looked good. Had other friends we put it on and yep worked great for them. First saw it at Street Vibrations in Reno one year.

Never much cared for the one that HD has on its bikes.

We use this product. Throttle Mate - Making your motorcycle road trip easier.
throttle mate works good. the thing you have to remember with any throttle lock is it's not cursie contoll. true crusie controll keeps you at the same speed all the time. throttle lock is slower uo hills and faster down hills. and when you live in the mountains you can go from crawling to flying.

I didn't care for the palm held throttle
slip ons, when you get it where you want it for 60 mph
it's in the way everywhere else, tossed it.

Throttle make makes sense, $14 bucks vs $70 for the others.

The one thing I liked about the Break A Way device is if you touch the front break it trips it off and to reset it just push the lever again.

    that has an advantage.

One thing folks have to remember it's a throttle lock
not a cruise control, so when you go uphill you will slow down

and when it goes downhill it's going to speed up.

a safety note here......the palm rockers do work, but , if you happen to fall over....for what ever reason, you will experience wide open throttle. say your in a parking lot, in a slow turn, too much front brake and the front wheel slides, you tip a bit....the throttle will go wide open and hurt you bad!!!!!!!!!

My Harley has a sensor that kills the motor in the event the bike tips over.

I have never used one , was just wondering , I just tighten up the screw under the grip a little bit & let it go , but I can still return it fast Like the older models before the auto return throttle

I have that same stock thumb lock on the springer. Problem is up here the weather is usually a bit cooler that Texas so yea wear gloves to help keep your hands warm which makes getting to the thumb lock harder.

I personally don't like anything that locks the throttle down that has to be manually released.
