Thunder on the beach

Anybody going to Panama City for Thunder on the beach? 29 April to 3 May -
If youv'e been there; where is a good place to hang the hat for a couple of days.

I'm planning on going this year it will be my first. I was born in Panama City but haven't been back since 1992. I guess a lot has changed since then. Most of my family lives about sixty miles northeast so I will be visiting them and the rally. Just hope the weather is fine.

Should be a good trip - I've been watching the weather forecasts and the long range forecast looks good so far.
Last time I was down there we had a great time - went out on the island ferry to the island at the opening of St. andrews bay and got to watch the dolphins play. Wife wants to go again but won't be with me this trip. She's going to Baton Rouge to see her son and I'll meet up with her there which also happens to be NO Bike week. LOL
Haven't got a room yet but plan on doing so this week -from what I can gather they are booking pretty fast so I'll probably get one just out of the downtown area should be quiter too.

Got my reservations in for the Beach at the Palms - OASSEAS resorts which is the HQ for the event - now I don't haveta worry about stumbling home on the bike - all I haveta do is crawl up the stairs and pass out.

Thunder on the beach was one hell've rally - They had 6 different vendor areas set up all over the place - plus the Miss Thunder Beach pagent was a dern site better than going to a church revival meeting.
Just a wild guess but I would say that there was about 50,000 bikes there.
Gonna have to add this to my todo list for next year.

Got almost 1100 pics to show from Maggie Valley rally - Wheels thru Time Museum - Cherohala Skyway - Thunder on the beach - Baton Rouge and New Orleans plus more coming from Memphis and Graceland.

Only about a hundred a 50! - Found out that the server won't let me upload as is the size is in the mb's so I'm rezizing them a little at time and posting as soon as they are ready.
