Tick saliva?

    Theres an article in the news today about a brazilian scietist who theorizes that saliva from blood sucking ticks could help combat cancer. As I read this a thought came over as to how that would work. I figured they would just put people people who smoke to collect the tick saliva ergo they'll be to busy to smoke and won't get cancer. Thereby combating cancer.

    Tick saliva can there really be such I thing..WTF.

    well I bet it's a bit more then smokers , I have know people who never smoked & had lung cancer , or cancer period I'am 63 smoke & no sigh's of cancer ,Still don't think I'll let a dem suck on my arm I mean a blood sucking tick

    I think its a scam by researchers who know that money flows when you mention cure for cancer. I mean how much salive can you really get from a pinhead size freaken bug? And how does one go about that? A heiny lick manuever?

    I think it's some college dude wanting to pay for his college so he started a study and sold it to the government to get a grant. That's my opinion and sticking to it. :D
