I searched the threads to no avail, I was looking for the thread that the timing was adjusted with a ohm meter. If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.

i am going to assume you are setting points/timing.....i use a test light instead of an ohm meter.....easier to see the light come on/off. basicly you will attach the test light or ohm meter to both sides of the points......one to the ground, engine case, ect. and the other to the "hot" side of the points.....the light will glow, when the point plate is moved the points come together and the light goes out.........if using the test light the ign. needs to be on....if using an ohm meter it does not..........hope this helps!!

    Thanks Chuck

Should of started by saying I'm working on a 91 FLH. Replaced evo with a REV TEC. using pickup out of the original motor. Someone a while back posted using a ohm meter to set timing, hopefully they can chime in.
