So I was wondering what everyone's opinion is for balancing a tire. Is it better to go the (old way I'll call it) of putting weights o the rim to balance it out, or with the new trend of using plastic or ceramic beads inside the tire?

I was also wondering if anyone knew anything about NY state making it illegal to use stick on weights. The dealer I went to today for quote tried to tell me that you can only use beads now, but the next shop said all they use is the stick on weights, unless requested otherwise. I think the guy is full of it, but who am I to say without confirming it and I cant seem to find anything on google.
