The dealer told me to keep 36 psi in the front and 40 psi in the rear, does this sound right?;)

Yep, seems about right. Your manual spells it out, too - and mine is also written on stickers inside my OEM hardbags. Depending on your load, you may be able to reduce the rear to 38lbs - but check the manual.

i follow the tire mfg recommendations for pressure........the dealer/manual has no idea whos tire you are running. the mfg knows what bike his tires will be mounted on and gives the pressures on the sidewall............

I quoted Dunlap tire pressure but Cowboy is correct, its marked on your tire if your running another brand check it there. Dunlap's are also on the tire as well.
