I HAVE A 2000 FXST. I JUST CHANGED THE STOCK 130 TO AN AVON 150. RE INSTALLED AND THE TIRE IS ALMOST RUBBING THE FENDER ON THE SPROCKET SIDE AND THERE IS A 1/2" ON THE DISC SIDE, THE BELT IS REAL CLOSE TO RUBBING THE DEBRIS DEFLECTOR. i'M PRETTY SURE I HAVE THE SPACERS IN THE CORRECT LOCATIONS AND ORIENTATIONS. nOT SURE IF THE TIRE WAS CLOSE STOCK AND A WIDER TIRE MAKES IT MORE APPARENT, DOESN'T MAKE SENSE THOUGH FIGURE THE TIRE WOULD BE CENTERED IN THE REAR FORK RIGHT? ANYBODY HAVE A SUGGESTION?

    Don't ride it

Your bike will not accept that tire...you will get killed with it. Put an original back on and be happy, or change the swingarm , or get a 2003 FLSTCI with a 150

I've had a 150 on my Heritage from 00 up on the first change, and now a 160 which is really too large for the rim.

the rim is 3.5 inches on a stock hd and you shouldn't go over 140 but 150 should be fine. The issue is the sidewalls will be at an angle they are not designed for if you have a wide tire on a narrow rim.

You need to space the wheel over to the right side, it's normal the tires on the rear of the softails are set off to the left.

You will need to measure and have custom spacers cut, or check the measurments of the hd fat tire kit and see if they will work for you.

You will have to machine down the brake caliper mount points, there is not a "perfect" measurment, you need to do some calculating and measuring to get the tire centered.

Any local machine shop should be able to make you a longer spacer for the belt side and take the same amount off the brake caliper on the left.

You should have enough room for the belt to slide over without rubbing anything for the 150.

I apreciate some of the responds, this is the 6th rear i've put on this bike, i balanced the tire and trued the rim correctly . Just never noticed a factory offset on the belt side, must be more apparent with a larger than stock tire. Did a tire run out and a horrizontal offset check and everything is with in h d tolerances, gues i just need a custom rear spacer to make it perfect . The brake mount and caliper are tight but fine.

116" with 130 foot lbs not bad....is it all S&S or you runnin a special cam and heads. mines 95" but with stock heads and a se 207 cam 102 ft/lbs. but only 95 hp needs head work to fufill potential

The brake mount and caliper probably will not be fine because when you shift the wheel right, the rotor moves right, so you'll need to take some off the outside of the caliper where the axle goes through as well as where it sits on the swing arm or the rotor will be off center in the caliper and will rub.

You just have to be patient and watch everything.

Stock cases bored out and the motor is all S&S internals and upper heads, cyl pistons etc, with custom ported intake and cv51 out of the box and woods tw-9bG cams roller rocker arms and I run a IST ignition and those numbers came with the thunderheader, running bassani pro streets now.
