I'm dedicating today's ride to cardboard as I know how well he likes the snow. Several of us, Maddog, Olbill and a few other rode up the Clackamas river highway to the Ripplebrook Ranger station. That last few miles we had snow and ice along the sides of the road. The parking Lot in front was iced over. We turned around there and headed back to a small Restaurant/bakery in the town of Estacada. Was below freezing at the Ranger station but back down in the valley it might have made it up to 50. Good ride, good eats and good friends.

Ok, sounds like you had a great day. I went over the gap into Tenn today, into dmassey country. Suppose to be upper 50s and sunny in Asheville today, but Tenn not as good. Cloudy and rainy, but great ride. Gonna do this one again when it is warm. Beautiful country, along the rivers. Home in time to take a dozen 18 year old girls for pizza (my baby turned 18 this week) Great, great day!!! :D :D Pix are Sams Gap just over line on Tenn side.

Sounds like a GREAT ride - a little crisp but GREAT. Snow or icecicles with a bike in the same picture makes for a good pic.:D

Yep, lots of ice and snow. That day we were up there they found the body of a six year old girl who fell into the Clackamas river a week before. That parking lot was full of rescue vehicles and people the weekend before. We were glad to hear they found her.

Yea got several of em taken out. They knocked him out.
They had to put him in back of the truck cause he couldn't walk.
His wife drove him home and parked the truck under a shade tree till he woke up.
He looked like she beat him up the way his mouth was swelled up.
Don't think he had been eatin much.
Bet he gets a lot of sleep.
And the Bottle of whiskey goes down pretty fast.

That sky doesn't look very friendly, and the empty parking lot sez no one out on the road. Probably a great day to ride. Thanks for the nice photos guys, I forgot what it's like to get out and see bare ground.

Never been to Natchez, around hear there are some roads I enjoy, but scenery is probably a lot like your place, I live in the piney woods also. Your definitely welcome to come by anytime, usually have cold ones in my shop fridge, also got some elk ribs I haven't tried yet but bet they gonna be good:D
