Let her shoot my full size 9mm, it's a bit large for her
hands, I'll have to get a small grip for the 9mm but she
never dropped it. Said her hands were a bit sore after
and arms tired, she wouldn't fire the 40 LOL I did and
I think she thought it was loud.

Anyway southpaw, just a few rounds on video
They have a pink two tone new mosquito there
or I will find a good used 22 for her to fire...

Nothing wrong with Glock firearms they are dependable, I'd go Gen3 and not Gen 4 as the Gen 4 have about a year of "field testing" aka consumer purchases on them, most are good but I've read about several Gen4 extractor issues the Gen 3 is pretty solid.

But,,, I just don't like Blocks, ugly gun, they work, yeah but... Ugly, I've passed on some deals too.

Standard Glock purchase is the 19 a compact 9 mm 15 rounds, you can buy mags up
to 30 rounds at any gun show and shove them in the 19. The 27 is a glock sub compact and too small for my hands for range fun. However you can stick the 19 mags with a spacer in the 27 and make it kind of a 19 for range days. The 19 is the 23's little sister (9 vs 40)

I prefer the 40, but the 9 is easier to keep on target, 9mm is about half the cost
of 40 to shoot however both are good.

There are a ton of handguns out there, depends on what you want to do with it. Glocks are striker fired, no real hammer, just a firing pin release so some folks like that trigger others, can't stand it.

I'm a sigophile everything Sig, started that way and just my preference.

A real good deal can be had right now on the SigPro 2022 9mm which is similar in size
to the glock 19. The thing I like about sig is the DA/SA hammer, meaning no safety other than a firing pin safety for dropping the weapon, it has a decocker, and once you chamber a round, decock, it's first pull is DA and the rest are SA.

So if you carry with it the DA acts as a safety in respect to your
rush of adrenaline and surge of fear, power whatever and you won't ND (neg discharge)
a round into someone because you have them in sight, where as some people will put 3 pound trigger pulls on a striker Glock and claim it's better, well, you best keep your finger off the trigger in a defensive set or you might just discharge when you don't want to, like into your foot as you pull and stick the finger down to release the blackhawk holster.

With the Sig you pull and then you have a 10 pound first, and 4 pound subsequent pull.

It takes getting used to, but I prefer a DA first or DAO/DAK gun.

Other gun that I find fun, and inexpensive to shoot is my Sig P250.

It's modular, got the first set as a compact 40, and I've added a full size frame, mag and 9mm upper, a 357Sig compact barrel (interchanges with the 40) and a 40 Sub compact that I took a spare compact frame, cut down to sub compact length but I can run the 13 round compact mags (more brass)

Check Budsgunshop.com very good online retailer for prices on Sig P250 twosum you get one FCU (Fire control unit = the gun) and two frames, FS and sub compact and two upper rails (barrel, slide, etc) for under $600, Now you have two sigs for a great price.

I could go on about them, next for me will be a P226 or P229

BTW the M&P 9 or 40 is a great gun for a good price as well, Xdm 40

I'd suggest you find a range with rentals and get a feel for what you like, grip angles, length, trigger pull, etc...

You sound like my kid brother... if I ask a question, he knows so much gets my head spinning, but good stuff. I agree with you on the SIGs and I like the XDM 40. But, I don't know all the info you gave!

yeah I tend to get "involved" in my hobby and projects
can't get enough info, try to stay informed

If you want to know something just ask it's how I found
    out LOL

Like DAO DAK and DA/SA or SA

DAO is double action only, revolvers are DAO meaning you have to make a full pull
on the trigger it brings the hammer back and breaks(releases) and fires

DAK is a DAO with a twist making it an easier pull in pounds needed to pull

DA/SA is double action first pull, and then the trigger remains cocked
after the slide returns and it's Single action after that

SA is single action, you gotta **** it to rock it... think 1911's

I like DAO or DAK for carry, uncocked but ready to rock just point pull and fire.
