Tranny Fluid For A Sporster

    Now That My Pmcp Has Expired, Prepaid For The 12, And Got The Stealership Shaft, Only Useing 5 And No Refund For The Other 7. Last Year I Replaced The Primary Gasket And Got The Hd Sporster Tranny Fluid. Is It Really Nessassary To Use Or Can I Use Regular Oil?

    Personally I prefer using a true gear lubricant (75w-90) with the API GL-5 specification that excludes the friction modifiers. Brands I like are Redline or Amsoil.

    Searching this forum will provide plenty of opinions and arguments on the subject of synthetic or not, which I won't get into here.
