I have an '07 Ultra classsic. I was wondering if it is possible to put a set of true duals on without modifying the intake or electronics? The reason is not performance, my wife has a spot on her right leg that the crossover pipe irritates. I have looked at the broad range ox sensors, but that cost more than a set of head pipes.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Yes
Vance and Hines true dual headers, you can run any slip on including the stock mufflers. They have the bungs in the headers for the 02 sensors.

For the lean condition, get either the SERT or a Powercommander and change the map to provide more fuel that will cool the motor some, run synthetic and maybe an oil cooler.

You are saying the "lean condition". I take it that you must add a pwr commander or other ecm modifyer to prevent engine damage etc.
    Correct?
    Thanks for you comment,

To be specific if all you change is the headers to true dual headers, run the stock mufflers and air filter then no tuning is needed, it will run about like it did stock, which IMO is just too lean but it won't hurt it.

Now you drop on some better flowing mufflers, V&H, Rush, Wild Pigs whatever and you are leaning it out more

Pop on a free flowing Ness Big sucker air filter kit and lean it some more

Then you need to add a tuning device either a powercommander, v&H power pack or SERT and change the map.
