Well, how deep of a thump can you get with a 500 LOL? The ads get me: tattooed hands, butt ugly bling on a crotch rocket, etc.

These would be more like "piglets" than "hogs".

I rode a 750 Shadow for years, and a 700 Maxim for awhile, so I could see me trying one on a road test day, but I don't think there is a replacement for displacement in a V-twin motor. Plus, you need the sound, too. Where do they think the market share is? They must be thinking globally. Maybe these would catch on in Europe, but I think the guys and gals who want these in North America would prefer Asian. JMO.

Roadster guy I had one of these 650 Special with loud pipes. I always thought it was as close to a Harley as I could get back then. But boy was she fast and fun to ride. Sometimes wished I had it still.

Look's like Harley is trying to catch the younger set again , since the Buell didn't work out right for them

I hope they do well, too, where ever they sell them. Like Cowboy said, they're just trying to capture the younguns again, and possibly more women riders.

FLHT, that 650 was a good bike.

I seem to recall my father had a Yamaha Heritage Special back in the early 80s for awhile. Might have been a 650. I remenber even then wondering what heritage did that Yamaha have that was special even back then, and I was still just a kid. Amazing how times change, now you have Harley copying the Asian stuff. Must be the start of the Apocalypse!

Memories sell, and the university kids who rode those to class can now afford to pay an arm and a leg to rekindle old memories. Not gonna lie, wish I had that old 400 Supersport back, and if one comes up local and I can hide it from the wife I'll likely buy it.

One of the best bikes I ever had was a '72 Honda CB 450 with double overhead cams. Rode that thing all over the country, then got my first Harley - a blue Sporty. It was like the difference between a Volkswagon and a freight train.

Hmmm, I seem to remember my first ride on a motorcycle and as a bit__ch was on the back of big brothers CB450. Scared the doo doo out of me. Of course the Cross Island Parkway in NYC didn't help comfort me any!
