I mentioned this last year as well. Once again we went on the annual Tyler Ride. This was the 8th annual ride and had the largest turnout I have seen so far. There were 600+ bikes and about 800 people including passengers. Once again it was a great success and a great feeling to be a part of such a good cause. Tyler is a local kid who suffers from MD. The ride raises money for equipment and medical care he needs that insurance will not always cover.

Anyway this year, for the 1st time I've seen on this particular run, there was one buffoon who decided to to a burnout between the last two stops. He lost control of his ride and the bike barrell rolled into four other bikes. Most of the injuries were pretty superficial but there was one person with a head injury that had to be medevac'd out of there. They did make an announcement at the end of the ride that everyone involved was expected to be OK.

It just amazes me the stupidity of some people. Don't get me wrong. I've been known to do a holeshot or two myself and there are likey a couple more still in my future. The stupidity lies with this individual who decided that the time to do a burnout was when he was completely surrounded by people in a very conjested pack of bikes with nowhere to go when things went bad. I'm sure there were a few beverages invloved in the decision to do the burnout as well as the poor execution of it. Hopefully this rider has learned from this painful mistake and will be more careful in the future. Otherwise, it was a great day of riding with about 130 miles, lots of food and plenty of great views.

There's always one idiot in the crowd, ain't there? Hopefully everyone will be ok and that guy will not be back.

I save my burnouts for an empty road.....

What a moron! Obviously a guy with a small pecker and a few too many wobbly pops. Hope that everyone was OK, and that he made a total ass out of himself.

As for the ride, congrats on getting involved in a good cause!

I would have been more pleased if he just made a fool of himself but he had to involve others in his moronality. Is that a word?

Like I said, it was a great day otherwise. 80 degrees all day with not a cloud in the sky. That's been hard to come by lately in these parts. This week is no exception. They are forcasting thunderstorms for the next 5-6 days. I guess it's time to fix that oil leak from my rocker cover gasket.

    Thanks for letting me complain.

    Peace.
