We got the ultima 6 speed in the softail box, no gearsets are available so you can get the whole trans and pull the gears put it in a 98 RK

Noticed that there is not an oil slinger on the adj shaft under the ultima trans cover, it has the throw out bearing but no slinger

    Is that right?

Can't put the old slinger and rod in, it's too short in the rod department and the slinger kicks out the rod to far to get the cover on.

So slinger or no slinger on your units?

Paco did the swap like we're doing and I wanted to be sure, in that we didnt have instructions.

BTW I pulled my softail TC trans apart and the elbruto 6 speed gears will fit, hmmm.

    hotroadking,

i have been thinking about the ultima 6 gear set for my 99 rglide. if i had the extra cash i would go ahead and get me one while they are at the price. i have had no issues with mine @ 1300 miles.

    later........
