Got the Ultima 6 speed in the 98 RK box, new bearing and mainshaft transferred,

    Problem is N switch/light

Lights up when trans is in first gear

Switch that came with trans has one post, 98 RK's have two posts and wires

We transferred the N switch from the stock tranny to the 6 speed cover.

    Any tips?
    Paco
Were you able to get the N light to work properly?

Thanks he'd like for N to come on in N I can just see him at a light in First dumping the clutch thinking the trans is N

we have those two wires of course, figures.

Also did you have problems putting the shift drum on>?

This one was a PIA had to keep moving forks etc to get it to finally settle down on the dowel pins.

    hotroadking,

haven't heard anything yet. YES, the shift drum was a pain in the a$$ for me. i contributed it to not doing trans work that much and the install sheet was meant for a qualified mec, which i am not. i messed with it untill it dropped into position. also, i had to call it what it was before it would act right.

Thanks that works, also rode it last night works great - except for speedo

Midwest discontinued selling the recalibration unit but I finally got a tech on the phone and he told me it was the Dakota digital unit.

So we've ordered those and they have a Neutral switch that is supposed to fix that issue for rev techs but if you hear from your friend let me know what he says.
