    :wtf: A new guy in my X Chapter now club has a new 2011 Ultra. Bases of the jugs leaking oil, the dealer put new jugs on. They leaked oil. The dealer put a new engine in, gues what, those jugs leaked oil.

    The only bike I had that did that was the a SE Ultra in 2007. Was the first 110 in the SE and it to would not stop leaking. sold the bike. They should give him his money back or a new bike.

    + 1 Check overfill, this is the only case of leaking jugs I heard of in a long time.

    I would assume that the dealer checked since they went through all the effort (work) to go as far as to replace the engine also.

    Oil tank's under the trans. You'd think so, I can't see the odds of having two
    engines with leaking base gaskets in one bike being good.

    Sure they will get it straight.

    Got a 2011 Ultra limited, Guess what !
    No leaks, my buddy has a 2011 Road Glide Ultra No oil leaks.

    How many miles on eather sey of gaskets ? my brother years ago 73 had his super glide rewired be the dealer & whole new harness still burned up so it can happen , but sounds like the second was just bad gaskets & not new engine cases unlevel jug base unlevel my 2cts

    the newer bike have a tendency to leak if ya start em and run em without warming them up first,,,,,,,,,,,,

    Think what the problem might be is when the cases are bored for the 110cu.
    There is not enough room on the lip where the oring goes to let it seal.
    The cases has to be perfect where the oring and jug seal in that area.
    If there is not enough lip, you got problems.
    They have fixed most of it. But this area has to be perfect.

    man i dont know about that . there are alot of cases bored for 124 . and bigger and they have no leaks at all . i find that hard that harley would have two motors to do the same thing .chances are these guys did not swap the motor tried to reseal the jugs and they sent it down the road and told him they put a motor in it you have the base orings and also the small port oring are both base of the jugs pissing oil ? or just one ?
