no, it will not work. the engine needs some type of baffeling....also the 09's are a different animal....hopfully someone with good knowledge about the puters and injection will chime in........

I tried a set of those pipes and did not like em. My bike is an 09 like yours and I did the V&H monster Ovals With the SE air cleaner and a stage one download. Sound is good and performs very well. Also not real sure but those SE pipes may have cats in them.

Thanks for the reply, I figured that was the answer just wanted to be sure there wasn't a real simple fix. The pipes look and fit great just quieter than even the OL likes!

Thanks for the tip on the Big City Thunder exhaust site. Once the snow flies here I'll pull out a baffle measure it up and see if they can hook me up with good sound & perf.

JMO, I would put the stock mufflers in the corner, on the odd chance that WI joins the Mighty Obama Green Team and begins to inspect pipes for EPA codes, etc. That way you can pop on the stock ones, get the approval and then take them off.

The Big city would give you both, outside muffler looks and better sound.

A good alternative, meaning, not expensive and good performance would be to get a set of Wild Pig Pipes, they have a few styles, are made in Daytona FL. and are not expensive, you can buy from them or on Ebay and get a deal usually under $220 a pair.

Looks like it's under construction in some areas
