I have an 82 VF750S Sabre and when I engage the hydraulic clutch and try to change gears it seems as if the clutch isn't completely disengaging because it clicks loudly when moving into a gear. Once in gear the clicking is gone. I thought the hydraulic fluid was low, but it is full. Any ideas?

It may not have cables cowboy and I could be wrong but I thought all those Honda's had hydraulic clutches as well as brakes. If it does have a hydraulic clutch and the fluid is good it still may not be engaging it all the way. You did check the clutch master cylinder (if it has one).

how old is the fluid? It breaks down over time. A friend of mine had a bike with a hydraulic clutch..didn't maintain the bike very well and the fluid was a few years old and broke down...it absorbs water and left long enough will damage seals and will not activate the clutch. That's what happened to my friend. He changed the fluid and the clutch would work .

The bike sometimes wants to walk forward when the clutch lever is fully pulled and in gear.

How did the fluid look (dark, black, clear). Start by replacing the fluid, a mityvac vacuum pump works great for replacing the fluid.
