If my air mixture screw is all the way in (on a S&S carb) and the bike keeps running. Does that mean I have a vacuum leak? Thank you.

    I don't think so....

If idle mixture screw is turned completely in, engine should not run at idle. If engine continues to run at idle with idle mixture screw seated, recheck initial ••setting of idle speed screw, and make sure enrichment plunger is seated.

Check out page 18....hope this helps

Thanks for the Reply and Directions Lucifer. Looking at the directions and diagrams on a screen is WAY better than the ones I had Thanks... Anyway.. My enrichner was up just a .... hair and it did make a difference. So after I got to reading that stuff, it said if ya have less than 1 1/4 turn out I may want to go one size down on my intermediate jet, so I did and it seems to run better. (it's probably just me thinkin I did somethin good). The thing I'm wondering about is that it also says that in a 96" and better (I have a 124") I should run between a 32 and a 36. I had about 3/4 of a turn with a 32. Now with a 31 I have just under a full turn. I'm thinkin (again) the directions were rote for a reason so I'm askin. Ya think I should go down another size or live with it and stop reading and thinkin. I did move a while back but the elevation here is within 50 feet or so of where I came from. Thanks

If it's running good and not too lean...I'd just ride...but, you can try little changes and record them to see where it performs the best and stick with that....I'd prefer to be a tad rich rather than lean...take your time and be patient and when you think you have it right...Stop!!! Good Luck!!

It turns over easier while starting, and runs a little crisper. It almost runs to good. I got to check my plugs. There's that thinkin word again. I'm in trouble now.. Thanks
