    Well found the rest of the story.

    PORTLAND -- Police released a video Thursday of a rapid-fire shootout that occurred on Interstate 84.

    Oregon State Police released dramatic dashboard camera footage of an officer-involved shooting on August 29 that killed 34-year-old John Van Allen II.

    Allen, a military veteran, was taking his three children on a road trip when he was pulled over by state police.

    In the video, Allen gets out of the car dressed in military camouflage and with his right hand behind his back. Allen is repeatedly told by Oregon State Trooper Matthew Zistel (off camera) to return to his vehicle.

    Allen then pulls a pistol out and begins firing rapidly at the trooper while advancing on his police car. Gunfire is exchanged and Allen withdraws, showing no sign of injury.

    The video ends after Allen drives off and Zistel is heard reporting into the radio that he has been shot.

    Allen was found several miles down the road, killed by a single bullet to the chest. Zistel sustained a mild gunshot wound. The children were unharmed.

    Article in the news here said the family has no idea and that he was taking the kids on a road trip, something was clearly wrong there. Some have said PTSD but that is starting to be the usual excuse for anyone who is not acting normal.

    With all that is going on in our country lately I believe it's only going to get worse. More and more anger and desperation. Look at that mother from CT in DC the other day.

    Still don't understand why they just didn't block her in instead of shooting her. She didn't have a gun.
    But I agree there does seem to be more and more anger. To me its just gotten much worse sense OB took over. It's why I carry anymore.

    Coming out right now on the news. Poor girl was mentally ill. Sounds like she was psychotic depressive. Starts with post partum depression. One year old baby gives timing right. She Thought Obummer was listening in to her. Not funny for her and family.

    Well she lost her job because she was being rough with the patents
    at the dentist office, she was upset over being pregnant I don't see any
    mention of a spouse, she had also fallen recently and had medical bills,

    I agree why with all the hardware they have wasn't she blocked in
    and taken in, she never fired shots, wait, she never could have fired a shot, it's illegal to carry a gun in DC unless you are a fed or leo... So they knew she didn't have a gun....

    on going, enough to get back in the car and drive off
