Hi, I have a 2005 Harley Road King that I bought. It's legally registered in my state, with the title VIN matching the frame. Question is, I don't see any numbers on my engine cases, the paint is intact and it doesn't look like the numbers were ground off, etc. Is this a problem? I want to take the bike to events (i.e. Sturgis) and don't want to have Johnny Law have a concern with my bike.

If I am not mistaken, a lot of the numbers for the engine are now on the bottom of the engine. I am sure someone else will chime in to help.

Just checked on my '03 Dyna. Left side on the case just below the cylinders.
