Can we vote for "None of the Above?" I voted once for Jerry Garcia, and an article in the newspaper was giving the number of votes and for whom. They said two folks voted for Jerry Garcia, I was one of them... Still wondering who was the other...:)

I've been for McCain since he threw his hat in the ring....I dont agree with everything he's done but at least he's a straight shooter & doesn't mince his words. Obama Didn't do squat in the Illinois house, he isn't/hasn't done squat as a Illinois Senator, and my guess is he won't do squat as President.

Arrgh. :banghead: I am actually considering Obama - not because he is better than any of the others (far from it, and that is saying something given how much the rest suck) but because the country is gonna suffer with any of them, and he may as well take the blame. It took Carter to give us Reagan. Had Ford been elected over Carter then who knows how worse off we'd be now.

Ron Paul is not an option. He's 80% right on and 20% Pluto-orbiting whack job. And really has no chance anyway. Just this cycle's Perot.

McCain may be good on spending, but what diff does that make if he makes us pay to take in illegal aliens and to buy "carbon-credits" to ride. And he is no Bush - we'll be looking back on the good old days of the Bush presidency if he wins. This "Bush's 3rd term" crap is just devoid of reality.

    God help us!

I kinda agree with Red, though I think he's giving too much credit for being President. Bush tried to overhaul immigration similar to what McCain wants, and Congress wouldn't let him. I think the President gets too much credit for good things done and blasted too much for things that don't go right. One person can only do so much and it's up to Congress and the voters to do their part.

I'm leaning on McCain because he's the lessor of two evils (the usual mode of voting the past decade or two). I want somebody who'll be strong on the world stage..it ain't Obama. I also don't think McCain's gonna do two terms if he wins, based of many factors..his age, the War in Iraq, and mostly the economy. It's all a crap shoot.

A correction of interpretation for SK: actually, I was thinking of the way Congress will be, in addition to whomever the Pres is. I agree that the Pres gets too much credit/blame, and history supports that. I just see the voters supporting failed Socialist policies too much because the majority doesn't want to take responsibility or face reality. They want to "feel" better, not BE better through the regular hard work and tough choices procedures.

One way or the other, I'll be riding - even if I have to siphon gas out of every "Obama for President" bumper-stickered SUV!:roflmao:

Red you just might be doing just that if obama gets in he wants all these changes but has not told any one of us how he plans to pay for them so my guess is HIGHER TAXES , he has no idea of what's really going on in this country

Yep it seems that most of the younger people in this country are for Obamba. Seems that they all hate Bush so much that they can't see past the end of their nose to see what is really going on. One thing for sure is they will find out and then they will hate Obamba and want more change. Who in their right mind would want to be the president anyway.
