I'm looking for someone who owns a late 80's evo motorcycle that's still running the stock Keihin butterfly carburetor. I have a tuning part that I need tested to see if it will work correctly on a running bike. The part will be provided for free in exchange for some feedback.

Bike and owner should be in the US and a frequent user of this board. Please contact me and I'll explain more.

Hopefully I 'll find a taker. It's interesting that when you start looking around just how few stock bikes are out there with that original carburetor still in use.

How did your part work? I am still using the original Keihin on 85 FLHT and it runs good. Just completing a top end gasket kit.

Old bikes are fun to ride but man have things came along way. Those Ironheads will vibrate your fillings out.

Earnestine is a 1989 ultra classic with stock everything. Currently she is waiting a rebuild in the garage, and certainly needing a carb overhall. She was a joy to ride, I would ride IN her not ON her. I am going to need lots of help in rebuilding , rewiring her and locating parts. I still cant't figure how you can love a machine!!! One of the first big jobs is how to repair deteriorated after market chrome. Will this part hurt her?

Cowboy, I have pick up a lot of good tips on this forum, really good stuff. Thanks for the tip on the chrome, as noted in a previous post the chrome on my later bikes ('96 & '08) seem to be a far worst problem then Earnestine.
