Rode about 8 houses to the end of the block with a friend. He was meeting another neighbor who's land is falling off in the lake.
A tree has already fell off the bank a year ago and is in the water. The guy has another friend coming with a Dump truck do dump some gravel and dirt to try to help the bank from washing away.

While we was standing there looking down the 14' drop off . We seen a water moccasin swimming around the tree in the water.
I ran up to the house and got my Berneli Super Black eagle and a box of #4 shells. Ran back down there.
And got at a different angle where there was a tree limb and branch in the water . Could see the Big Water moccasin, as I was looking I seen 2-4 more.
I said Dauym. Stuck 3 shells in my Bernelli and shot 3 tmes. Blood came up and nothing was moving. Everything was floating.

I hate snakes , except for king snakes and rat snakes.
But water moccasin s I really hate.
Neighbor was saying all I see down there is Blood, you did a dang good job.
    Thanks.

We got rattlers in far eastern Oregon which is a good 2-300 miles away. Don't like snakes of any kind. Took three shots. But good shooting anyway. Should have tried your XDM and see how good of a shot you are. :p

I'm with ya on nailing those things. Only good snake is a dead snake in my book. It's that time of year that I usually find a fat one in one of my chicken nest boxes. Got snake shot loaded in my .45.

Got some people on some other places say, snakes has their places in nature.

I'd like to take em to Uvalde, Tx. bird hunting. And no we are not taking dogs. Not safe for em.
Well this is a holiday weekend. Folks are gonna have their kids and grand kids coming up.
And I got 2 expensive labs. Don't want them to get bitten either.
