Meant up with Maddog at 7:30 AM today and we rode 180 miles today in a downpour of rain just to go to a Ribs BBQ. There was over 1 inch of rain today. But the Ribs were excellent. :D

It only got up to 58F today. The bad part was I had rain pants and jacket on. My arse was the only place wet, came through the rain pants I guess, nothing like setting in a puddle of water. I did put leather conditioner on the seat last evening before I left this morning. Oh well good thing for heated seats. My Harley water proff gloves worked great.

if you notice rain gear is sold as water resistant and water proof. Water resistant is not water proof and if it rains long enough it soaks thru water resistant. But water proof while water proof, does not breath, lol.

I hate riding in the rain and will avoid it if I can... Always carry my FroggToggs...

Had an inch and half of rain yesterday and possibly more than an inch today. If your dressed properly for it you can stay mostly dry. We could have stayed home yesterday but how boring would that be.

We came across about 50 1% bikers at a rest stop yesterday during our ride in the rain. No windshields, no rain gear just leathers and bandana's over their face. They had on mostly 1/2 or 3/4 helmets with no face shields either. Same for the women riders to.
Not us, I had full rain gear and had my full faced helmet on.

The Shamrock run is going on in Portland today and a huge amount of runners taking part. They don't let the rain stop them either.

Going to be a high of 60 today but all heavy rain again then sunny most of next week.
