Got a electric fuel pump from the dude that is my buddy and I used to help out for a few years.

Drained all the gas out of my gas tank. Replaced the fuel line hose.
    Charged the batteries over nite.
Got up this morning and Pulled it to the gas station about 10 miles away.
melt something burning. Couldn't tell where it was coming from.
When I got back to the house smoke was coming from the right back axle.
Drug it down 3 blocks to the boat ramp.
    STuck her in the water.
Cranked yer up and went up the lake to a creek where the wind wasn't blowing hard.
Started casting my carolina Rig and running the trolling motor as I went down a bank..
Checked the live wells and made sure the pumps would fill both live wells and the aerator would come on.
    Checked the Bilge pump too.
Want to make sure all the pumps was working.
Tried to crank her. Oh Hell she didn't want to crank.
Jacked with her for a little while and she cranked.
Think the battery voltage might of been low.
When a battery on a fuel injected drops below 12 volts sometimes a boat motor will not crank.
Got back to the boat ramp. The OL backed the boat trailer into the water and I loaded the boat.
Had her to pull the boat back to the house.
I leaned over and looked at the back wheel. It was wobbling.

Came home and jacked up that wheel, it had a lot of play. Pulled the axle cap and pulled the hub and all. Bearing had came apart. Grease seal was torn up too.
    The red grease was brown.
Jacked the other back side up and tore it apart. Grease was red.
Knocked the grease seals out of both hubs. Cleaned up both hubs with gas. Washed the brakes and the axle off with gas and squirted everything with water.

Gonna go to a trailer shop in the mooring and get some parts and come home and redo the rear axle. Then put the jacks under the front axle and do the same thing.
Good thing about the front axle is it don't have brakes.

Then I'm gonna go get a cranking battery and 2 trolling motor batteries and put them in.
Put the boat in the lake and see if everything works.

Think Tuesday I will take the boat to the Mercury dealer and get the Master Mercury mechanic to hook it up to the computer and see why it beeps when I idle.
And why when I put her in gear she wants to die.
You got to be a authorized dealer to have a computer to check this stuff out.
Gonna start getting her back into shape . She has been sittin for about 8-10 Yrs.
Can see the trim unit is leaking down. Got to see if my buddy has time to work on it.
Got to have special tools to take the trim unit apart.
Don't know what all he can do. He broke his neck the 4th of july and has it in a brace waiting to have a operation.
If he can't git to it , I will have to pay threw the nose to have it done at the mercury dealer.
Tires has been on since 1996. They might get replaced also.
Might start bass fishing this fall again.

Got a couple buddys that wants to come from back home in Bama and stay with me for a while and I know what we will be doing.
Got Big Sam Rayburn about 90 miles northeast of me.
Has a lot of Hydrilla and coon tail on it.
    Makes for great Bass Fishing.

Over the years I've had everybody trying to buy my boat from me.
Got buddys that sold their boat. And wound up getting a aluminum boat that they have to use in the creeks cause the mail lake is too rough,
And wished they hadn't of sold their Bass Boat.
OL said if you want to keep yer boat , just keep it.
cost about 500.00 a year insurance & stickers.
    Glad I did.
Wouldn't be able to every git another boat like this one.

People I fish with wouldn't take you home if you tried to catch em and take em home.
They are sacred. You catch them and kill em on the head and throw em back and hope you can catch them again in the future.

"...kill em on the head, then throw them back"?!?!?!?! You practice kill and release??? Years ago when the large mouth were over running a local lake here I took a couple to eat. More curious as to what they taste like. The meat is white and tasteless. So a little butter and garlic and ya got come flavor. But now the bass are few and far between because of all the effin immigrants killing everything and the local conservation officers only right up and fine the legal guys (the Americans) since we have real papers and addresses where they can get us and slap us win jail if we dont show up to pay our fine. There are limo drivers that run freakin asians from NYC out here in a stretch limos to fish the lakes and beaches. They pull up and fish for a while, throw all the stuff they catch into a cooler then move on to the next fishing hole and take everything there. The hispanics get a couple of hundred of them into a beat up old panel van and do the same. They have started busting our balls when we are there and intimidate us so we leave cause they know we will try to report them. Our world really sucks for us Americans sometimes.

    I don't intimidate very well.
We have cell phones and CHL licenses.

There are Game wardens. If they don't want to do their job. Somebody needs to report them.

We are allowed 5 fish a day. I would only have 5 fish in my boat for a tournament.
After the weigh in they are released alive.

Got a new cranking battery in her today. Called the mercury dealership about they hooking it up to the computer and seeing what all might be wrong since its been sitting up.
They said bring her own down. So she is there in line waiting on them to check her out.
I know I put the wrong size fuel line hose on it. Got no idea how smaller hose is gonna fit on the barb on the gas tank.

Here is a 21' Gambler bass boat with a 200 Hp mercury motor on it.
Same length as my Gambler and same motor as my Mercury.
    Tell me how it runs.

Don't look like you know much about fishing tournaments.

YA ever fished a money tournament. I will take my 21' boat with a 200hp motor.
You take your 15' boat with a 40 on it.
We put in at the designated boat ramp. We blast off , I beat you to your hole you have pre fished, and I drop a bouy marker in the water.
You are not allowed to get within like 250' of me. So you head 8 miles up the lake to yer next hole. I come zooming past you in yer 40hp motor,
Beat you to yer 2nd hole. and drop a bouy marker and you can't come near it now.
And in the meantime a funnel cloud pops up on the water, and you look and see another one, And they are both walking across the water.
I jump up and run away from them while yer trying to get across the lake.
Next we need to run 18 miles up the lake to another hole.
I get there and make it back to the boat ramp before you can.

Everything is about the Time clock. If you want to waste all day getting somewhere. The less time your gonna have fishing. And the earlier you have to head back to the boat ramp because your boat runs so slow.
And say the wind comes up and the waves get bigger. Yer limited to where you can go and fish. I in the meantime can run threw the bigger waves and go to creeks I needed to fish and catch bigger fish.
    I get to fish longer.
Guess who has a better chance catching more fish..
