I have a 2005 Sportster 1200 Custom with a stock carb. The only number I can find on it is HD part #27731-04. Nothing saying what brand it is. There is another number on side of carb bowl - L28A DSFG. I'm trying to find a rebuild kit for it, but don't have any idea where to begin looking. Nothing references th HD number and I don't know what brand kit to look under. Could someone please get me going in the right direction? Thanks.

That should be a H-D (Keihin) Constant Velocity 40 mm carb. Rebuild kits can be found from about any supplier. If you really want to wake it up go to CV Performance I believe Ken is a sponsor, he sells stock rebuild kits, as well as a variety of great products that are custom made for these carbs including american made jets and great performing needles.
