Wanna buy only one tuner for stock and to git yer bike to running better.
CAll eastern performance and git a Thundermax.
I've been postin on this subject.
    Look at youtube about Thunder-Max.

Yer bike is not a Throtle by Wire model so you don't need a TBW unit.

Don't you think the Very 1st thing everybody wants to do is change the pipes and air kit.

Start with a good tuner. Git a Thundermax. Yer lucky, you got a 09 bike . Still has the big 02 sensors too.
It will do more for power, cool the bike and be there for anything you want to do.
Ride the bike with the Tm and let it break in some.

Then yer probaly gonna want pipes and a air kit.
    Stop and save some money.

1st thing I would do is talk to a builder and put a Cam in the bike. Will give you a lot more power with the Thundermax.

Do some homework on what all you might want to do.

    Louie,
Thundermax is a good system but way overkill for pipes and a filter
at $800 for a new ECM, o2 sensors, and you have to take your ECM out

    http://www.fuelmotousa.com/

I would call jamie at Fuel Moto and discuss
a powercomander V let them load it with
a map for your bike, they have thousands of dyno
runs on file and so they have a map that will be close
and it will run just fine and cost way less than a Tmax

REV Perf also has a new one out that is like Tmax and $800
    and is getting rave reviews

If you plan on Heads, cams, pistons then get the
New Powercommander with auto tune, the zippers Tmax
    or the Rev Performance tuner.

If not the PC 5(v) will be fine, and you can
    always add auto tune modules.

Various pipes can do that for you on the louder part. If your changing the air cleaner to a better flowing one you will need some kind of a tuner. There are so many choices for tuners out there its really a personal choice. I would not just go with anyone that may be suggested here but look at all of them, do some research on them, talk to a tuner mechanic and get his/her opinion. Also look at the cost factor and are you going to switch pipes around on a frequent basis.

Me and several friends has called him and bought PCV's
Another buddy just took it off his bike and got the TM, HotRoadking.
The PCV had to be dynoed to git the cells in the map off Zero and git the timing right.

A complete set of pipes is as expensive as a good tuner and about as important .......
